Maybelline Stash

Here are some Maybelline items I wanted to try. These were purchased from Target.com. I do not understand why brands are not able to carry their entire line in other countries... And I've noticed that some items here are not available in the US and that some items in other Asian countries are not available here. This results to spending a lot of time online and unnecessary buying for me. Hahaha. Anyway, back to the products...

Left to Right: Color Sensational Lipstain, 2 Dream Mousse Blush &
Color Sensational Pearls Lipstick

Color Sensational Pearls in Pearly Pink (720)
USD4.99 or Php217.00

I love this lipstick. It is very frosted, which I normally dislike but this is so gorgeous with a bronzed look. I find myself using this a lot lately and I wear it with the NYC Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder in Sunny. I have read that a lot of people hated that it is too frosty but I find that a sheer application of this product is the key as the color is very light and the pearly particles are very strong. Normally, if I find a bad review about a product, I'd forget about it right away. But the print ad just made me lust for this. Look how gorgeous the whole look is. And I thought I don't get lured by ads...

Dream Mousse Blush
USD5.94 or Php258.00 each

Left to Right: Dream Mousse Blush in Soft Plum (40) & Peach Satin (20)

Left to Right: Soft Plum & Peach Satin

What it is: Air-whipped mousse blush feels satin-soft on skin, glides on smoothly, and blends easily for seamless color and a natural finish. Long-wearing formula provides luminous, long-lasting color on cheeks without clogging pores.

I find this just okay. I've read good reviews about this but personally, I've used better ones. Both also have a hint of shimmer which I'm not so crazy about. But I do like the Soft Plum better. The Peach Satin is too light, the color doesn't really show up. Plus it seems to have more shimmer than the Soft Plum so it just looks unnatural when applied. Although I've only tried this on medium skin tones, I have yet to use it on fair-skinned girls but I still feel that this just wouldn't give a vibrant color. We'll see...

Color Sensational Lipstain in In The Buff
USD5.54 or Php241.00

Felt Tip Marker-like Applicator

This is my favorite lipstain. I've tried Cover Girl Outlast Lipstain & Mark Kissink Lip Tintmarker (Mark is a trendy and young sub-brand of Avon USA) and by far, Maybelline has the most non-drying formula of all three. This particular shade gives a very natural looking stain - it's like I'm not wearing anything on my lips at all, which is what I have been looking for. However, I just wish Maybelline's lipstain would last longer, this is probably because it has water-based pigments. Nevertheless, I still love it!

To purchase locally, try Multiply and eBay. If they're not available, try pre-ordering them from online sellers.
