Chevron

Yesterday was quite productive for me. I finally did the things I've been meaning to work on the past weeks. And for quite some time already, I've been obsessing about chevron prints. I just absolutely love how simple and beautiful the design is.

I made myself a notebook for my blog. It's primarily for a segment/feature I'm doing soon. I'm really excited for that. I just wish I had started sooner as I had missed on some opportunities, unfortunately. :( Anyway, I also made bag tags for my kids. I originally wanted something "kiddie" for them but decided to go chevron as well, but in their favorite colors.

I love that everything is themed. I think I will make personalized chevron notecards next! I love this print so much! I swear, I can stare at it forever! I dream of chevron walls or curtains. Aaaaah, so pretty!

AWESOME FINDS: Washi Tape

Do you know what washi tape is? Have you seen one? Let me start by saying it is just the prettiest and cutest thing! And I mean REALLY pretty!!!

Washi Tape

So what is washi tape? According to sheknows.com, the best way to describe washi tape is that it feels like masking tape — very, very pretty masking tape. It's made of paper, but is not as delicate as one would expect. Washi tape originated from Japan, the land of kawaii or cuteness. It is made from natural fibers, such as bamboo or hemp, but most commonly from the bark of trees that are native to Japan — the mulberry, the mitsumata shrub or the gampi tree.

Washi tapes can be affordable and expensive. A roll would cost anywhere between USD1.50 (Php62.00) to as much as USD$35.00 (Php1,460.00) per roll. And with so much designs to choose from, collecting would require a lot of moolah to burn. And here is why I have an awesome find. I found a set of five for just Php132.50 (USD3.17)!

Welcome Back

I was gone for a looooong time. We actually moved houses so that was really, really stressful and chaotic. A lot of things has happened (and is happening) and I couldn't seem to get myself back on my blogging track. But I have always thought about my blog - the things I want to do with it, topics and features, etc.

During my hiatus, I did change the look of my blog. I made it simpler which is what I always wanted. And I also added categories when I finally figured out how to do so. I also added social networking links on my blog. Then I found a free monthly blog calendar so I can organize my thoughts and schedule. Let's see how effective that will be. :)

I was planning to return to the blogosphere last week but I did a lot of makeup work (yaaaay!) and just decided to start today. And since it is July 1st, I am reposting Fat Mum Slim's Photo a Day July list challenge. I'm sure you've heard of the challenge. Or if you haven't, click here and learn about it. I joined last month but was unable to do the last few challenges (nay!) but it's such a great way to be creative and connect with friends who are also doing the challenge. Fun, fun, fun!
