T-H-E Naked Palette

I've had this for a couple of months now and this was one of the
many
few things that I MUST get my hands on. After asking favors from friends, one of them was lucky enough to snag this treasure during her trip in the US. Finding it wasn't so easy. She went to a couple of Sephora stores before she was able to chance upon a newly delivered batch of Urban Decay's Naked Palette and bought 3 sets! One for me, one for herself & another for her cousin. She tried to get more to sell but when she went to the store again, they were out of stock. Surprise, surprise! Thank you to my amazing friend for the effort! You made one makeup crazy gal so giddily happy!

The set came with a travel sized Eyshadow Primer Potion and a double-ended 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Zero (black) and Whisky (warm brown). The eye pencil is just as amazing as the primer! It's very easy to use and glides on like butter!

Left to right: Virgin (shimmer), Sin (frost),
Naked (matte) & Sidecar (frost)

Left to right: Buck (matte), Half Baked (frost),
Smog (frost) & Dark Horse (shimmer)

My rating: 4.8 stars

Although I love this palette to bits, there's just too much frost-finish shadows. I'm not much of a frost fan, I don't like its blinding capabilities! LOL! But a little more matte shadows would've been nice. Nevertheless, this is a great palette to have. They're highly pigmented and you can't go wrong with a neutral palette especially with one with a wide array of shades such as this - you can do a really natural eye makeup to a very dramatic one. The primer and eyeliner are a great addition! And for USD44 or Php1,930 (forex as of press time), I'd say this is an amazing deal for 12 eyeshadows, 1 eyeshadow primer & 2 shades of eyeliner. If you compute it, you're only paying about USD2.93 or less than Php130 for each item you get in this kit. That's pretty cheap if you ask me!

Since this is not available locally, be ready to shell out a little more to get one for yourself. There are a lot of multiply sellers offering the Naked Palette on a pre-order basis. Or you can try buying from Amazon.com and have it shipped to a cargo forwarding company in the US like Johnny Air and they'll take care of shipping it to Manila. :)

  1. I've always loved Urban Decay items. They can often be pricey, but this set seems like a good deal. Have they stopped carrying the brand in Rustans?

  2. Hi Nikka!

Unfortunately, Rustan's does not carry Urban Decay anymore. :( And I heard some local online sellers offer this for double the original price. :((
