Sonia Kashuk Makeup Brushes

I am so glad that I discovered Sonia Kashuk makeup brushes (exclusively available at Target). Not only do they have good quality but they're pretty affordable too. I have a couple of their brushes already and when these came out early this year, I just needed to have them. Problem was, they were out of stock online for a long time. My cousin-in-law went to the US last summer and I asked her to get these for me. While she was there, I checked again online and what do you know, they've restocked the brushes! She said to go ahead and buy them online because when she checked their Target store, they barely had anything available. Meant to be. :)

Playground & Court Cuties

This is my makeup work for Chalk Magazine for the July 2011 issue. Together with two other makeup artists, we groomed a million college basketball players. Hahaha. They were actually just 32, but that's still a lot... It took us two days to shoot all the boys. It was fun hanging out with friends during the shoot. Muriel, the other makeup artist, and myself jokingly played basketball and he challenged some of the college players to play with us. They just laughed at us. Pffffft! Hahaha.

Our photos were also shown in the Editor's Note page as well as in the Contributors page. Thanks to Paul del Rosario for our photos (and for reshooting mine, hahaha). :)

Are you a basketball fan? :)

xoxo

Maybelline Stash

Here are some Maybelline items I wanted to try. These were purchased from Target.com. I do not understand why brands are not able to carry their entire line in other countries... And I've noticed that some items here are not available in the US and that some items in other Asian countries are not available here. This results to spending a lot of time online and unnecessary buying for me. Hahaha. Anyway, back to the products...

iPad Portfolio

One of the reasons why I bought an iPad is to use it as a portable digital portfolio of my makeup works. Well, there's an app for that... Several, actually. But the Portfolio for iPad is the one I use and here's why I love it...

Portfolio for iPad is a blank slate waiting for your personalization.
You can customize its appearance to completely fit your business,
giving the appearance of a custom app developed exclusively for you.

Hermanos Taco Shop

My husband and I are huge fans of Mexican food and we've heard a lot of good comments about Hermanos Taco Shop, one of them being the owner is Mexican so you get authentic food. A couple of weeks ago, we tried it for lunch.

Topshop Makeup

A relative who lives in Singapore came home recently and I asked her to get some stuff for me. Of course, it had to be makeup. I checked Topshop's online store and asked her to get these for me.

Forever 21 Makeup

A couple of weeks ago, as I tried hard not to drop by Forever 21 during my grocery day (hahaha), I chanced upon their makeup line. My sister-in-law texted me, probably a month prior, to ask if I have tried their makeup already. I haven't. But I was aware that they already sell makeup when I browsed their US online store but I wasn't excited about it. I just thought they're probably not good.

So I looked around, tried this and that and left with these...

Is This The ONE?

This ad made me stop, look and read. Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Liquid.

It says:

"Invisible. Weightless. And It just might save your life.

Dermatologists tell you that you should wear suncreen every day, but it's always been too white, thick and greasy. Not anymore.

94% of women agree that water-light formula looks and feel invisible.

The first liquid sunblock with Helioplex, it provides superior broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection and works beautifully alone or under moisturizers and makeup."

In His Clothes

Here is the work I did for Cosmopolitan Magazine's June 2011 issue. The editorial story is about how to wear menswear. Some clothes used for the shoot were actually men's clothes. Cool, right? Time to borrow clothes from the guys!

It Works!

Hi friends! Here is a quick post.

I just want to share with you my latest happy purchase, a spring-type facial hair remover which actually works and costs very little. Meet the Epistick.
